Like many Northeastern states, Connecticut has an extensive and much used transportation network, including highways and mass transit. Commissioner Redeker, appointed by Gov. Dannell P. Malloy in 2011, will discuss the renewed efforts the state has undertaken to bring their infrastructure, especially bridges, to a state-of-good-repair, while attempting to improve service efficiencies in their bus and commuter rail systems. Formerly with NJ Transit, he will give his perspectives on how the addition of needed capital resources will provide opportunities to improve Connecticut's transportation facilities and similarly have benefits for the entire tri-state region.
