The 53rd Annual Forum will feature opportunities to share research and experience, learn from academic specialists and practitioners, and network with other professionals in the field of transportation. Besides being in proximity to the major entertainment centers in Orlando, Tampa is interesting from a transportation standpoint on several levels. Its port will be impacted by expansion of the Panama Canal. Coincidentally, former Panama Canal workers relocated there and established a Panama Canal Museum. The local transit system features in-town trolleys, and the city is home to the University of South Florida Center for Urban Transportation Research. Tours of key features of the city are being planned.
